My friends recommended this for their sandwiches . We ordered a bunch of the corned beef sandwiches to go ! We ordered the " regulars " but they were a mountain of meat ! A really awesome sandwich bordering on decadently delicious !! I highly recommend !!
The food was a 5 but the experience was a 3. We walked in around 1:30pm on a Monday. We stood next to the please wait to be seated sign for about 10 min without someone coming by. So I went looking for an employee, they said someone would be over but waited another 5 min. The server seemed amazing, they were hustling, running around but clearly she was the only one working, including behind the bar. We sat for 15 min, she didn't come back to get our drink or food order yet. Clearly, this place does not staff appropriately, she seemed stress so we just went back to the counter to order to go instead. Food came out quick. Sandwiches and fried pickles were tasty.
I was very excited to learn that Slyman's was coming to Mentor. I had never been to a Slyman's location before but I was aware of them by reputation. Many people had told me the corned beef sandwich was amazing. I went in with fairly high expectations and was not disappointed. The service was great. We entered near the bar and were greeted by the bartender who ultimately ended up serving us. He did a great job taking care of us. We ordered the Corned Beef Sandwich. It came out in under 10 minutes. The sandwich itself lives up to the hype
Love the Cleveland Slyman's so since I was up in Ohio I decided to go to the new Slyman's in Mentor. Very nice inside and still good food.
whenever im in town i love to stop by a "Cleveland Staple" and boy is corned beef a staple! I haven't been to a Slymans location since college so i was excited to pop in. The sandwiches were just as i remember, piled high and tasty! I got a lite corned beef sandwich and was still unable to finish it! Everyone else also enjoyed their meals and this location is closer to family when i visit so cant wait to return.
